TEK is hiring for a Patient Registration Specialist in the Springfield, MO area not patient facing / M-F 8a - 5p / $16/hr / opportunity to transition to hybrid schedule Description:Will be heavily on the phones with patients while handling high volume data entry and documentation updates. High volume and fast paced environment. Responsible for processing patient registration, verifying demographics, obtaining insurance cards and identification, and updating medical records accurately and efficiently, ensuring accurate patient identity for billing. Collect payment and financial information. Maintains the confidentiality of all patients’ records and accounts. Informs Supervisor of any department and patient issues immediately. Able to answer the telephone using an established greeting and assists callers in a friendly and helpful manner.Additional Skills & Qualifications:MUST
1 year have clerical experience in a professional setting.
Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).
Proficiency on a computer and keyboard.
Must have a clear phone voice and customer service experience of some kind - able to talk on phone while working on computer
