Reporting into the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant will be involved in month-end, cash management, grant and contracts invoicing, accounts receivable, and general ledger support.
Accurately process and maintain entries to the general ledger as needed
Manage daily cash logs and report to management and billing consultants
Ensure timely and accurate recording of cash deposits and accounts receivable payments
Perform grants & contracts invoicing, reconciliation and reporting
Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of records
Maintain asset and depreciation schedules for accurate financial reporting
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements for management review
Assist with special projects as directed by the Accounting Manager and Finance Director
Maintain complete and accurate billing files, tracking accounts receivable and recording of related revenue
Serve as a financial liaison with external agencies, ensuring smooth communication and resolution of issues.
Requirements:
AS/BS Accounting or Finance is preferred
2+ yrs. of nonprofit accounting experience with exposure to grants is preferred
Experience with general ledger, accounts receivable, and general accounting support
