Position Title: Quality Technician
Wage: $18/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday
QPS Employment Group is hiring a Quality Technician for a company in Springfield, MO. This is an associate to hire opportunity.
Quality Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform product quality inspections and line audits
- Conduct audits of Work Instructions, Control Plans, Process Flow Charts, and PFMEA's
- Perform root cause analysis of warranty returns and generate warranty analysis reports
- Troubleshoot failed units from line inspections and perform build procedure inspections
- Ensure all precision measuring devices and qualifying gauges are properly functioning
- Ensure all gauges are calibrated per the requirements and at the proper frequency
- Conduct sediment testing of product
- Conduct titration evaluation of washers
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and requirements of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001
- Report sub-standard quality to Quality Manager
Quality Technician Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience as a Quality Inspector or similar role
- Experience using calibrated measuring equipment and gages
- Effective computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office suite
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational and planning skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
- Ability to work while exposed to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and fumes
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Mechanical background preferred
- Preferred working knowledge of torque converters and/or transfer cases
- Preferred formal training or working experience with ISO 9001, IATF 19649, and/or ISO 14001
