Job Title – Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician reports to the Senior Maintenance Technician and the Property Manager and is responsible for performing general repairs, maintenance, and improvements to the interior and exterior of commercial buildings managed by the company. Managed building types include: office, medical office, retail, industrial, and flex properties.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Participate in a variety of maintenance projects per work order requests
Perform roofing inspections and minor roof/gutter repairs
Perform electrical repairs on items, including appliances, fixtures, switches/outlets, etc.
Perform plumbing work including cleaning stoppages, replacing fittings, inspect/repair water irrigations systems, etc.
Perform water and gas meter shutoffs, small appliance and fixture shutoffs, and sewer clean-outs
Interior and exterior painting
General carpentry work on items, including doors, windows, shelves/cabinets, gates/fencing, ceiling tiles, etc.
Skills, abilities, and requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in maintenance or comparable education/training
Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage
Must be able to lift 80 – 100 lbs. on a regular basis
Must be able to physically perform all required tasks including bending, stooping climbing, gripping, etc.
Must have strong work ethic and attention to detail
Must have excellent attendance
Must be able to safely use all required tools
Must be willing to work in areas other than strictly repair maintenance when needed
Must comply with all OSHA regulations and applicable laws regarding health, safety, or environment
Schedule and availability:
40 hours per week
Some nights and weekends for emergencies when assigned as the on-call technician
