Come join the fellowship and history of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Livingston, MT. Famously known as the church from the movie A River Runs Through It and locally known as the humble heart of Livingston, Redeemer Lutheran Church is seeking a Director of Music.
The Director of Music will develop and lead the worship music program for Redeemer Lutheran Church in consultation with the Pastor and members of the church's board. The ideal candidate is a skilled organist or pianist, but all mastered musicians are encouraged to apply.
Essential Job Duties are below. However, we look forward to growing a ministry with the right candidate, and the job duties are anticipated to change.
Select and plan music for weekly and other worship services
Participate in the planning process of service with the Pastor or members of the church's board
Develop a church choir and provide the leadership, teaching, interpersonal, and recruiting skills necessary to create, maintain, and expand the choir and church's music ministry program.
Organize and prepare all sheet music and other necessary equipment for worship services and music groups
Arrange for tuning and any maintenance of church instruments
Encourage, plan, and obtain supplemental vocalists and instrumentalists for specific services
