Overview

We are a small company looking for Flatbed Drivers. You will enjoy great pay and a flexible work schedule. Our #1 priority is aligning your professional goals and executing a plan to get you where you want to be in the coming years. We have moved multiple company drivers to become Owner/Operators and are here to guide you through the process when you are ready. We prefer our drivers to be home on weekends as much as possible, and will dispatch with your schedule in mind each trip.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate flatbed tractor-trailers according to company and legal standards.

Pickup and Deliver freight to designated locations, adhering to schedules, deadlines and tracking requirements.

Conduct routine inspections of vehicles before, during, and after trips to ensure safety and maintenance.

Secure cargo, verify load accuracy, and ensure compliance with weight limits.

Maintain and upload accurate records of delivery, mileage, fuel usage, and hours of service.

Ability to learn our self-dispatch system. This enables our drivers to have more control over their schedule.

Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse staff.

Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety protocols.

Perform basic truck maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly.

Qualifications

Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), with appropriate endorsements for the type of truck driven.

Clean driving record and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.

Knowledge of flatbed freight hauling to include load securement, tarping, loading and unloading.

Strong time management and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Experience in flatbed truck driving preferred, but entry-level opportunities may be available for motivated candidates.

Working Conditions

Truck drivers may work variable hours, including days, nights, possible weekends. The role may involve long periods on the road, exposure to various weather conditions, and overnight travel. Safety and alertness are crucial at all times.
