Job Description SummaryJOB SUMMARY3rd ShiftFunctions as an operator/setup for the production of CPT product by setting up, adjusting and operating multiple pieces of equipment to achieve production schedules. Responsible for manufacturing product that will conform to all product and quality specifications, while maintaining budgeted throughput rates. The processes consist of Offline Tube Labeling, Stopper Placement, CPT Fill Process (Includes LDM, Polyester Gel & Anticoagulant), Deaerate, Evacuation Process, Autoclave Process, and Inspection/Packing Process.Job DescriptionESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:Sets up, adjusts and maintains equipment in working order to produce product within specified quality and quantity limits; adjusting, troubleshooting, cleaning and repairing as necessary.Checks out additives from Chemistry Lab, labels and product circulars from Label Cage, and raw materials from Warehouse.Performs and documents preventative maintenance on the equipment as specified in the P.M. program or as required per schedule.Fills out required paperwork to meet Quality Assurance and GMP requirements.Fills out set-up sheets, and self-inspection forms. Ensures all records are correct and relative to CPT lot control information. Maintains separation of lots and follows all GMP and Quality Assurance procedures.Performs and Coordinates any maintenance needed to keep the equipment producing quality product.Keeps CPT Equipment area clean and orderly.Possesses a good working knowledge of SAP & Apriso program that is job related.Accurately reports production and waste according to the latest accounting methods.Responsible to assure proper safety procedures are followed.Works efficiently and cooperates with management and fellow employees at all times.Reports excessive defects or problems to Facilitator immediately.Follows Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and other systems/procedures as appropriate.Responsible to effectively train other associates in this position.OTHER RESPONSIBILITIESOther responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:Complies with all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies/procedures.Complies with all local BD quality policies/procedures/practices through consistent application of sound Quality Assurance principles. Physical demands requirement are in excess of those for Light Work.Mental RequirementsAbility to read, write and understand English.Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and determine resolutions.Equipment UseLabeler, Stopper Placement, Auto Pipette Machine, Deaerator, Gel dispense, Mini Hull, Centrifuges, Autoclave, and Bar Code Printer/Scanner. Must be able to operate a personal computer with windows software/SAP/Apriso.Working ConditionsThe associate is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals and broken glass.SupervisionReports directly to Department Shift Facilitator.
