Our full range of medical services includes trauma services heart and vascular care emergency services surgery maternity cancer care and diagnostic imaging.Responsibilities

Will assist providers and medical/surgical support staff in activities such as patient assessment, treatment, anesthesia intervention, physiological monitoring, and direct patient care.

Will be timely and precise in preparation, set up, calibration, and troubleshooting of invasive monitoring lines will assist with difficult Save (https://commonspirit.icims.com/icims2/servlet/icims2?module=AppJob&action=jobEdit&id=369175&tab=RQDESCRIPTION&hashed=339353825#!) airway and/or emergency situations.

To assist and ensure sterile placement of invasive physiological monitoring and treatment catheter (i.e. arterial, pulmonary catheters, venous infusion ports, central venous pressures).

Responsible for responding to patient-specific needs including (not limited to): blood, medications, supply and equipment during the surgical procedure. Accordingly, will follow all guidelines as instructed by the licensed provider.

Performs patient identification procedures to ensure proper delivery of blood products and medications.

To operates surgical equipment under the direction of a licensed provider while ensuring operating/procedure rooms and pre/post rooms are adequately stocked with appropriate quantity of supplies and required.

Works closely with Supply logistics to maintain anesthesia product supply for the operating room and procedural areas throughout the facility.

To assist in the transfer and monitoring of patients to/from Critical Care Units, and within perioperative services.

Will ensure operating/procedure rooms and pre/post rooms are cleaned and prepared for the next patient to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Responsible for cleaning equipment and will implement infection control policies to support the anesthesia practices in surgical and procedural areas.

Ability to identify, eliminate, or reduce safety hazards; is knowledgeable of processes for reporting hazards/errors.

Is an active member of the Anesthesia OR Emergency Response/Code Team; will assure all emergency safety equipment is available and in working order.

QualificationsRequired:High school diploma.BLS-CPRClinical expertise and in-depth knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring.EMT experience, Paramedic experience or military MedicCNA or PCT training program, or completion of "fundamentals" as a nursing student &/or 12 months of acute care (bedside) experience.Basic computer skills, adaptation to unpredictable situations, ability to make independent decisions, highly motivated, accountability, interest in patient care, and compassion for people.Pay Range$15.49 - $21.30 /hourWe are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
