Title: Mechanical Project EngineerLocation: Elko , NVDuration: Contract-to-direct hire, long-termPay Range: $40-$55/hr DOE 30% site work

Job Responsibilities: Successful international Engineering firm is seeking a Senior Engineer/Senior Project Manager with a Mining and Mechanical engineering back ground to join a new Elko, Nevada team currently serving industrial mining clientele in the Nevada area. Excellent opportunities to participate in the expansion of the new Elko office, and to quickly advance into a supervisory/management role responsible for many upcoming complexed and exciting projects. Responsible for managing and developing engineering design of small to large heavy industrial projects. Research, development, and support for the designs a variety of mechanical equipment, facilities components, and process systems for industrial purposes. Develop project scopes and proposals for industrial projects, including work-hour estimates, scheduling, and coordination. Lead efforts in preparing work plans, schedules, studies, reports, proposals,and cost estimates. Development of bid document packages for equipment and materials, including equipment selection, Bill of Materials, specifications, Datasheets, bid evaluation and selection. Plan and coordinate with design engineers, drafters, and technical engineers working on specific projects, including design criteria and details with other departments. Manage the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex designs.

Job Requirements: B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering; Advanced Engineering Degree preferred. Professional Engineering license in Nevada license is required, or the ability to get one within a year. 5-15 years of related mechanical and mining experience. Experience managing engineering projects from concept through construction support. Industrial experience required. Experience working in heavy industrial environments and operations required. Pipeline, Pressure Vessel, Relief Valve, Pumping Systems experience preferred. Crushing/Milling/Sorting, Conveyance, Mineral Separation, and Refining experience is also preferred. Experience with material take-offs, mechanical equipment lists, P&IDs, and PFDs. Experience with equipment layout design. Experience with AutoCADand3D modelling software is preferred. Experience with mechanical integrity and applicable codes: API, ASME, Client, ASTM and other generally accepted governing standards. Candidates with 40-Hour MSHA training and current 8-hour refresher training are preferred. Additional MSHA and OSHA experience and training is desirable. Proficiency with MS Office applications is required.
