Description Robert Half is partnering with a leading Las Vegas based organization in their search for an experienced and results-oriented Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to become a pivotal part of our team. This vital position integrates essential operational duties with strategic responsibilities and serves as the foundation for our financial planning and decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in FP& A within a professional services setting, coupled with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, resource management, and strategic planning. This role plays a key part in crafting financial strategies, delivering actionable insights, and optimizing resource allocation to support organizational success.Responsibilities include:
Oversee the annual budgeting process, collaborating with various departments to ensure alignment with the company’s objectives.
Create and maintain comprehensive financial models to project revenue, expenditures, and profitability.
Track and evaluate project backlogs, delivering accurate forecasts and recommendations to improve resource planning and profitability.
Work with operations and project teams to ensure backlog data aligns with financial targets.
Assess and propose strategies for efficient resource allocation to enhance productivity and project outcomes.
Partner with department leaders to address and resolve resource limitations.
Perform in-depth compensation studies, including benchmarking and trend analysis, to ensure fair and competitive salary structures.
Provide support for strategic decisions regarding pay adjustments, incentives, and benefits planning.
Design and manage 5-year strategic plans, offering recommendations for sustained growth and profitability.
Track critical performance metrics (KPIs) and adjust strategies to adapt to evolving business needs.
Develop and deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports with detailed analysis and actionable insights.
Offer expert commentary on financial variances, trends, and potential risks to guide executive decision-making.
Collaborate closely with operational teams to synchronize financial plans with day-to-day business activities.
Support cross-departmental initiatives aimed at enhancing processes and boosting operational efficiency.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
MBA or CPA is highly preferred.
7-10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis
Exceptional analytical abilities, with advanced skills in financial modeling and forecasting.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex data into clear, actionable insights.
Advanced proficiency in financial tools and software (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI).
