Private School Teacher

I am looking to hire a full time school teacher for my sibling and I’s children. We have home schooled our kids until now, but need help with further education.

We have set up a mini school that consists of just our family. There are a total of 7 children ranging from 1-6 in age . 4 of those children would participate in the school. We have a rental home next to our house that we own where we will be setting up a school house.

This is a great opportunity for someone that is motivated to teach and has a love for education and children, that does not want to deal with the school district and all of the craziness that is happening in the world today. We are a strong Christian and Patriotic household therefore, your teaching style will need to line up with those beliefs. We will say the pledge of allegiance before school and start with a prayer etc.

We will break up the children into 2 classes. We have two 6 year olds that will be in one of the classes (about 3 hours a day) and we will have a 3 and 4 year old in the other class (about 3 hours a day). We also have younger children that could use reading time / or singing time. We are still working out exactly what the schedule would look like as far as classes go, but would also like the help and input of a teacher.

This will be a full time position that will go year round. We do travel frequently, and during the times that we travel, school would need to be prepared and delivered via zoom or homework packets (or depending on circumstances you could also travel with us if desired, maybe in the case of a single teacher without dependent children) . We want to also allow adequate time for you to prepare during the work day. Far too often I hear teachers talking about how they go to the school for a full day and then need to spend their afternoons and evenings preparing for the next day. Ideally you will have the time to prepare during the work day so that you also have time for your own families and interests.

We are looking for someone kind, loving and interested in having an opportunity to teach in a fun and safe environment that upholds good American values. We want someone that will engage instead of lecture and someone that will teach through experiences and fun instead of regular textbook teaching. We have not 100% decided on a curriculum yet, but would love input on that as well. We want someone that will sing, play, sit on the floor and be actively involved (and physically capable of doing so). You must have experience in teaching.

This position is full time. You will be paid through our business (not under the table) and will have access to insurance if you choose. In the school house we also have a small 1 bedroom apartment that we could work out if that was beneficial to you (Newly weds / single etc). Starting salary will be similar to that of a starting salary in the school district. We will take care of all classroom supplies needed. You will have no out of pocket expenses.
