The Cook I – Wok is responsible for preparing and executing high-quality wok-fired dishes in accordance with Wynn Las Vegas standards. This role requires strong foundational cooking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain consistency, speed, and presentation in a high-volume, luxury dining environment. Key Responsibilities  Food Preparation & ExecutionPrepare wok-based dishes according to established recipes and standardsExecute dishes with consistency, proper technique, and high-quality presentationMaintain proper portion control and minimize wasteAssist with mise en place and station setup  Product Quality & StandardsEnsure all ingredients meet freshness and quality standardsMaintain consistency in flavor, texture, and appearance of all dishesUphold Wynn’s luxury presentation and culinary expectations  Wok Technique & Cooking SkillsDemonstrate strong foundational wok skills, including proper heat control and timingExecute stir-fry, sautéing, and sauce integration techniques effectivelyContinue developing cooking techniques under the direction of leadership  Station Execution & SupportMaintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstationEnsure proper setup and breakdown of wok stationExecute orders efficiently during high-volume service periods  Food Safety & SanitationFollow all health, safety, and sanitation standardsMaintain proper food storage, labeling, and temperature controlEnsure cleanliness and organization of work areas at all times  Team CollaborationWork collaboratively with chefs, kitchen staff, and service team membersCommunicate clearly to support smooth kitchen operationsAssist other stations as needed to maintain service standards  Operational ResponsibilitiesComplete opening, side work, and closing duties assignedAssist with inventory, prep lists, and FIFO stock rotationParticipate in pre-shift meetings and daily briefings  Compliance & Brand StandardsAdhere to Wynn grooming, uniform, and professional appearance standardsFollow all company policies and culinary proceduresRepresent Wynn’s service culture in all aspects of the role
