Director, Corporate Accounting

Description We are in search of a Director of Accounting to join our team in the hospitality industry, located in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is central to overseeing corporate accounting functions, including consolidations, general accounting, and SOX compliance for IT General Controls and Business Processes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in both external and internal reporting.Responsibilities Lead corporate accounting functions, ensuring adherence to GAAP and the development and implementation of robust accounting policies and procedures. Oversee general accounting activities, including but not limited to AP/AR, payroll, and the consolidation of company financial information. Manage the consolidation process for the group, guaranteeing precise and timely financial statements. Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive internal controls over financial reporting to ensure SOX compliance. Manage audit requests for internal and external auditors to support the company's ICFR testing. Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit and quarterly reviews, ensuring all financial reports align with GAAP and SEC requirements. Work closely with the finance and operational teams to enhance financial systems, processes, and support strategic business initiatives. Stay current with emerging accounting pronouncements and SEC regulations, integrating necessary adjustments into company policies and procedures. Develop a high level of expertise in accounting software systems, such as JD Edwards (JDE) and Hubble reporting software. Requirements Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in the field of Accounting, preferably in the Hospitality industry Proven expertise in Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is required Proficiency in Concur and DCAA In-depth knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Ability to handle various Accounting Functions Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proficiency in Auditing and Budget Processes Understanding of Consolidation Processes, including Consolidations, Corporate Consolidation, Financial Consolidation, Financial Statements Consolidation, and Monthly Consolidation Experience in preparing Annual Audited Financial Statements, conducting Annual External Audit and Annual Internal Audit Technical Accounting skills are mandatory Ability to handle Month-end Close Activities and perform Month-end tasks The role requires a professional qualification in Accounting or a related field.
