The Sprinkler Design Technician is responsible for preparing complete and code-compliant fire sprinkler system layout drawings, hydraulic calculations, and material lists for construction, tenant improvement, and service projects. This role includes some project management and works closely with sales, and field crews to ensure designs meet NFPA standards, local jurisdiction requirements, and project specifications.Key duties include interpreting architectural and structural plans, coordinating with other trades, submitting plans for permits, revising drawings per AHJ comments, and supporting field installation through clear drawings, coordination details, and timely revisions. The Design Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and consistency across all design deliverables.
