The Model Bartender expedites guest drink orders by mixing, preparing and serving alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks. This position performs in a public relations capacity when promoting the company. The ideal candidate works in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude while delivering superior guest service at all times. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to

the following:

Working knowledge of portion control and product identification

Answer questions about beverage/food and other company functions and services

Inform guests of specials and menu changes

Responsible for accurately checking guest identification

Communicate orders through POS terminal immediately

Follow given drink recipes when dispensing drinks. Garnish beverages as needed per company standards and recipes

Deliver beverage orders promptly

Organize and prioritize service per the appropriate sequence of service

Prepare guest checks through POS terminal functions and process guest payments by cash, credit card, venue comps and all other tender types

Responsible to ensure accurate accounting of all bar monies

Appear in uniform for all shifts and promotional activities at the scheduled time

Respond to Guest concerns/complaints and correct errors or resolve complaints with a positive attitude

Recognize and acknowledge when guests are becoming intoxicated and/or are intoxicated

Monitor potentially intoxicated and/or disruptive guests and promptly bring to a Manager’s attention

Refuse further service of alcohol to overly intoxicated Guests in a courteous and safety-minded manner

Comply with all safety and health department procedures and all state and federal liquor laws.

Requirements

A minimum of 1-year of experience in a high volume, service focused environment preferred.

Self-motivated, constantly striving to improve knowledge of marketing, and VIP Services.

Possess the ability to work as part of a team.

Must exhibit a focused attention to detail, while working in a high-pressure environment.

Must be professional, organized, and courteous at all times.

Must possess knowledge of basic math, including the ability to use a calculator.

Must be able to maintain excellent customer service skills while maintaining high service standards in a stressful, constantly changing work environment.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment as outlined by the Southern Nevada Health District.

Must be fluent in the English language, both written and oral. Multilingual skills are a plus.

A Nevada non gaming card, alcohol awareness card and a health card are required

Must be 21 years of age or older. Must have or be able to obtain sheriff's card, health card, and tam card.

Must be neat and clean in appearance and physically fit to perform the duties required.

Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift and work inside the assigned bar area in the venue.

Must be able to work in a fast pace and high-volume environment in the presence of areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, dancing, bright lights and dust and communicate during this time – sometimes within a small area.

Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed, based upon business volumes.
