Owner/Operator Wanted - Competitive Pay (Las Vegas, NV)

Nevada, Las vegas 00000 Las vegas USA

Vacancy expired!

I am looking for an Owner/Operator or two with a decent tractor that's not a maintenance nightmare and a good driving record.

I'm not going to BS you about what you can make, that is completely up to you. We are averaging just over $2/mile right now running reefers. We follow the money. Not doing any East Coast work, too much drama and tolls. We haven't been into California for over a year, rates never made it worth it. Right now we are concentrating from Idaho towards the upper mid-west and mid-west and south of there. We have started going into Texas if the money is right, as well as Yuma and Nogales. We don't just take a load because the rate is good, we look at rates coming out too and try to be smart about it. We do not run hazmat.

2019 was tough on everyone and over 850 trucking companies went under. Part of the problem was over-capacity and part was the brutal spring weather. However, the projections for 2020 are good and everyone else left standing should make decent money.

This works real simple. The trucks gets 72% and pay for their own fuel, tolls, washouts, etc. The truck also pays the annual IRS 2290 which is $550 and their own bobtail insurance. . I pay everything else including IFTA, IRP plates, insurance, New Mexico, Oregon, etc. My trailers and I cover repairs on them. They are all in nice shape, not beat up, pull great and the reefers are excellent.

We are a Nevada company with Nevada IRP plates which means that, if your tractor isn't registered in Nevada, it will have to be and you will have to pay your 8.125% sales tax on it for the price you purchased it for if you didn't have to already do that in the state where you bought it. No way around it.

We are a mom and pop six truck shop and no BS. I own three and drive one myself every day. Pay is every two weeks by ACH payment into your account. We have never had pay or fuel issues.

If your a super trucker, I don't need you. I need a professional driver who doesn't get stressed over BS, who doesn't cause issues at shippers or receivers or with the brokers and who drives responsibly.

The phone number listed here is my cell. Since I am on the road quite often I may not answer for various reasons including sleep. Leave a message and I will call back.
