We are a national product distribution company looking for an Accounting Manager with experience in inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory Management, and Financial Statements. Understanding how each of these financial elements affect the income statement is a must, with an immediate focus on the Procure to Pay processes and improving on the departments efficiency.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Manage a small accounting team in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

Develop and train accounting processes to improve efficiency and controls.

Direct and coordinate all accounting operational functions.

Maintain Group internal controls and procedures for accounting transactions.

Posts journal entries to general ledger for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.

Assist in preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.

Proof accounting reports for clerical accuracy.

Allocate expenditures to correct accounts according to divisional procedures.

Prepare and file sales and use tax filings for the company.

Provide information for the annual external audit.

Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.

Develop reporting and analyses around key business functions including pricing, cost, margin, expenses, and inventory to allow business units to make decisions quickly

Identify key trends and patters and develop actionable insights to improve the business

Provide ad-hoc data support to the business units

Provide support to the accounting department by providing data and reporting for compliance

Support month-end reporting

Required Skills/Abilities:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.

Eight years or more of related experience.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, data design, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Power Bl or Tableau

Ability to gather and interpret large datasets

Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and is interested in the "why?"

Office hours are Mon-Fri. 8am-5pm.
