Position Summary:

As Accounting Manager, you will ensure accuracy and compliance in our financial systems.

Responsibilities include:

· Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, reconcile accounts, and ensure timely payments.

· Payroll: Assist Director of People and Culture with maintaining, preparing and processing bi-monthly payroll.

· Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile bank statements and identify any discrepancies.

· Accounts Receivable: Prepare and send invoices to customers, track payments, and follow up on overdue balances.

· General Ledger: Record and reconcile journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and assist with month-end closing.

· Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

· Tax Compliance: Issue 1099s, ensure compliance with all federal, state, & local tax regulations, and coordinate with tax accountant to close year-end books and produce timely tax return.

· Risk Management: Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

· Budgeting: Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.

· Data Entry: Ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions.

· Filing and Organization: Maintain organized financial records and files.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 3 years experience in bookkeeping / accounting

· Proficiency in double entry software such as Sage and Excel.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
