Family owned, one doctor, veterinary practice (dog and cat only) is seeking a reliable,
committed and steady person to play the important role of veterinary assistant. You will be
responsible for the safe restraint of cats and dogs, keeping you, the provider, and pet safe from
harm. Your primary responsibility will be sanitizing and cleaning the hospital preventing the
spread of infectious diseases from pet to pet and pet to people. You will also assist in setting up
xrays, exams, dental and other procedures. Must be pleasant, courteous, and respectful of
customers as you will be involved with admission, discharge, and invoicing. Future
responsibilities may include running in-house laboratory machines, monitoring anesthesia, and
clerical duties. Expect to do the “little things” that are critical to the operation of a veterinary
hospital. A can-do, pro-active attitudes are necessary for this job as well as the ability to accept
constructive criticism and desire for constant improvement.
