The Road Maintenance Division of the Department of Public Works in Tahoe has one vacancy for the position of Senior Road District Supervisor. This position supports the Assistant Road Superintendent and Road Superintendent by planning, organizing, and directing the activities of the assigned crew in road construction, maintenance and repair of County, streets and roads. This position plans, organizes and directs the activities of the Roads Division in a geographically-designated road district within the Public Works Department; coordinates section activities with other divisions or departments; and provides highly responsible technical support to the Assistant Road Superintendent and Road Superintendent.
Minimum qualifications include four years of increasingly responsible experience in road construction, maintenance and repair that involved operation of various types of motorized equipment, including two years of supervisory responsibility, completion of the equivalent to an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in heavy equipment maintenance and operation, construction technology or a related field, and possession of a valid Class B driver's license with air brake and tanker endorsements.
This position includes an additional $1,000 per month for the Tahoe Assignment Premium.
