About this account

Our client is a large, health & fitness club with over 2,000 franchise locations. The company represents 100% of the growth in gyms over the past year and has aggressive goals for further growth and expansion in the US, and beyond. They have a very well-defined personality and positioning, and a strong culture. Our clients are ambitious, determined and success-focused. Our scope is expansive, covering all aspects of paid and owned media, from brand to acquisition to client retention. Publicis will be serving this client through a one-team integrated agency team model, tapping resources from multiple Publicis-owned agencies to deliver against the scope as a seamless, integrated team.

This individual will be part of an account team that primarily manages the national brand work, but will need to connect the dots with other teams responsible for social, activation and more “below the line” activities, as well as with regional hubs that service the franchises. Our team sits within the Publicis NY office (although we are currently remote, physically).

This is a fast-paced account, executing against a multitude of media channels and marketing needs. Our work directly impacts sales of memberships, which are monitored weekly. So we all need to approach the job with flexibility and creativity.You will never be bored and you will grow in this job.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a strong Account Supervisor to join our team.Experience and passion for working on a fast paced retail business is a must. TheAccountSupervisor serves as the bridge between client and agency, and withing agencies, develops effective marketing strategies, manages client and agency budgets, and manages the day-to-day activities of the account. They build and strengthen internal and external relationships and trust, while helping to shape the team dynamic. They demonstrate hunger to grow professionally and eagerness to teach and mentor. They are responsible for directing and managing day-to-day agency efforts on behalf of the client and always seek to provide high quality work efficiently and thoughtfully.

The AS will report to the Account Director, but will have direct access to the Group Account Director as needed/as appropriate.

Operational Excellence

  • Demonstrates organization and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment among cross-functional teams
  • Broadcast production experience a must
  • High-level computer and software skills (MS Excel and PowerPoint a must)
  • Manage client production budgets and work with finance & IP on project billing and reconciliation

  • Strong writing skills is valued and required
  • Understanding of brand strategy and ability to evaluate work that’s on strategy
  • Problem solving mentality
  • Selling and presentation of strategic marketing direction/pov’s, deliverables and recommendations to the client

  • Ability to manage up as well as oversee AE

What You’ll Do

You’ll manage agency partners (US and Global) and clients, to drive bussiness results. This includes overseeing multiple pieces of brand business across TV, Social, and digital. As well as the over-all health of the business and part of the lead agency. Day to day, your role includes:

  • Strengthening our relationship with the clients, becoming their go-to resource – you’ll win them over by asking the right questions, agilely leading insightful, real-time dialogue, and being a visible and influential presence
  • Displaying a firm understanding of the client team’s structure, hierarchy and political realities
  • Being knowledgeable about the client’s product and experience, the market and its consumers – and understanding the marketing objectives in terms of market-share and competitor products
  • Coordinate with partner agencies and global partners to ensure consistient branding and ensure integrated communications and solutions are being shared and deployed
  • Partnering with PM to collaborate with Strategy and Creative to provide thoughtful, engaging, and best-in-class creative
  • Creating dependable, organized and clear communications at all levels and across all departments
  • Steering actionable briefs and presenting work confidently and persuasively
  • Managing client and agency team expectations, day in and out, and helping clear roadblocks to success
  • Overseeing various production stages and ensuring adequate resources
  • Understanding the larger financial picture

Qualifications

Must have 4+ years of relevant experience (e.g. account management, client services, marketing strategy, production of assets).
