Seeking a Housekeeper M-F for 30-40 hours per week for a lovely family – a couple and two adult children. You will work primarily in the residence family home in Hanover, NH, with care required for second guest property also in Hanover.
Candidate should have basic housekeeping skills, great attention to detail, ability to adapt to changing family needs, discretion, and a positive attitude. Great attention to detail is a must. Candidate should be able to take direction, be self-motivated and responsible enough to perform tasks with minimal oversight but also be a team player. Occasional extra hours will be requested when family entertains guests. Warmer months are busier.
Basic 30 hours duties will include:
Regular indoor cleaning tasks: vacuuming and mopping floors, dusting and polishing, removing marks from walls and furnishings, kitchen (counters, dishes, and appliances), Laundry and ironing, bedding changes, cleaning bathrooms, removing trash
Regular outdoor (primarily warm season) cleaning tasks: garage cleaning, cleaning outdoor furniture, cleaning pool bathroom/kitchen areas and leaf blowing outdoor surfaces
Freshening up the home prior to the family or other guests coming to the property and then tidying up after they leave
Errands such as weekly grocery shopping
Communicate clearly and reliably, use basic email and calendar on laptop, report any maintenance problems or safety hazards to family’s office staff
Additional 10 hours of desired, but optional duties include:
Special projects such as cleaning bikes and fountains, washing cars, cleaning boat, and other assorted tasks identified by the homeowners
Please Note: These are large homes, which will require candidate to be on their feet for hours at a time, to frequently move between rooms, and walk up and down flights of stairs. Successful applicant will be trained and have a weekly check-in meeting.
