This person must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills that will allow him/her to quickly learn our system architecture, methodology and standards while leveraging on his/her prior experience in the industry. The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure in time sensitive projects in a direct customer contact environment requiring highly polished interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. This person must be able to research and analyze reported software problems and define and implement creative corrective actions using currently accepted system design standards to ensure total customer satisfaction.What you will do:

Interaction with internal team members across functional areas and across disciplines to include interaction with external clients and third-party entities as needed.

Show commitment to a common purpose and meeting team objectives.

Under general supervision analyze and research client issues to determine/confirm software nonconformities.

Under general supervision, Log, test, and document Code-in-Folder/Hot Fix, Alert/Service Pack and other release cycled code corrections to include risk analysis for Software non-conformities.

Provide research assistance to other analysts and technicians as needed.

Assist in the build and support of 2nd level environments required for research and code correction.

Pull statistics and provide various reporting as assigned.

Follow process/procedures when performing job functions and makes recommendations to improve processes.

Participate/attend training classes to include other training forums to enhance knowledge.

Participate in Development walk-throughs and other beneficial meetings to provide input into Enhancements and to build expertise needed for subsequent support.

Under general direction, other tasks as assigned.

Consults on complex projects on existing applications and process flows

Review new designs, enhancements and programs with systems analysts and applications programming personnel for operating efficiencies.

Prioritize and/or help others prioritize workloads.

Interact with external, as well as internal clients for the purpose of data gathering, assisting with solution design and issue resolution, and ensuring resolutions/solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.

Participate in strategic planning sessions, functional and technical discussions and demonstrate the ability to assist in translating ideas into software application solutions for the business.

What you need to have:

Experience with iSeries

Experience with Web applicationsuse of Intranet URL.

Strong English verbal and communication skills

Team player experience

Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field and/or 3 years of work-related experience

Knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry.

Hands on experience working as a systems analyst or like position either designing/developing innovative business solutions or working to test and implement solutions.

Ability to accurately record client reported software issues.

Ability to develop, then execute, and track test case results.

Strong analytical/problem solving skills to provide viable options.

Experience with Web applicationsuse of Intranet URL.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, demonstrates flexibility when dealing with changing business priorities, works well under stress, and is a self-starter.

Review new designs, enhancements and programs with systems analysts and applications programming personnel for operating efficiencies.

Prioritize and/or help others prioritize workloads.

Interact with external, as well as internal clients for the purpose of data gathering, assisting with solution design, and ensuring development of solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.

Under limited direction, research, define, & complete required additions and changes to financial software products

Participate in strategic planning sessions and technical discussions and demonstrate the ability to assist in translating ideas into software application solutions for the business.
