CLIENT OVERVIEW:

Our client is a leading company with an international reach in the insurance and reinsurance space. They are seeking a Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst. This individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be an effective communicator. An experienced professional that can effectively work independently and will be comfortable working directly with the CFO and CEO is an absolute must. Experience in researching and sourcing potential M&A is a must.

SALARY/HOURLY RATE:

$60 – $70/hr

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst will play a crucial role in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic acquisition opportunities. This Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst role requires a detail-oriented, analytical thinker with a strong understanding of financial modeling, market research, and due diligence processes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS ANALYST:

Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and valuation of potential acquisition targets

Perform detailed industry and market research to identify acquisition opportunities

Assist in the due diligence process, including reviewing financial statements, contracts, and other critical documents

Develop financial models to assess the impact of potential acquisitions

Prepare presentations and reports for senior management and stakeholders

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure successful transaction execution

Monitor and analyze post-merger integration processes to ensure seamless transitions

Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes affecting M&A activities

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS ANALYST:

2 to 4 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, private equity, or a related field

Strong financial modeling, analytical, and quantitative skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Knowledge of M&A processes, due diligence, and valuation techniques

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

High level of attention to detail and organizational skills

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field is required

MBA or CFA is a plus
