Job Title: Picker
Job Summary
The Picker is responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing products for shipment to meet customer orders. Working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, the Picker ensures that orders are fulfilled promptly and that products are handled safely to maintain quality.
Key Responsibilities
Order Selection: Accurately pick products from storage locations according to order lists and verify quantities.
Packing: Prepare picked items for shipment by properly boxing, labeling, and organizing them based on company standards.
Inventory Management: Assist with stock rotation, organize inventory, and ensure the accuracy of warehouse stock levels.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, if certified.
Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Basic math skills for order verification and inventory checks.
Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift heavy items (usually up to 50 lbs).
Previous warehouse or inventory management experience is a plus but not required.
Skills and Competencies
Strong organizational skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Familiarity with warehouse management software or order-picking systems is helpful.
