Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Office Assistant in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. This role operates in the industry and involves a variety of clerical duties. You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills in areas such as planning, filing, and managing office supplies. Responsibilities: Assist in the planning and execution of office functions, such as organizing celebrations for monthly birthdays Order office supplies and conduct quarterly reviews of supply pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness Maintain and update an office calendar to ensure smooth operations and scheduling Contribute to the creation and distribution of an annual newsletter, keeping office personnel informed and engaged Handle physical and electronic filing of documents, ensuring accurate record keeping Execute shredding of unnecessary documents to maintain office cleanliness and organization Assist in reviewing and negotiating the renewal of office contracts Oversee the care of office amenities like feeding the fish Undertake the distribution and signing of birthday cards to foster a positive office environment Manage the reconciliation of the FedEx bill to ensure accurate accountingRequirements Proficiency in performing clerical duties such as typing, copying, and managing correspondence Experience in ordering and maintaining office supplies Demonstrated ability in planning, organizing, and prioritizing administrative tasks Familiarity with filing systems and procedures, including electronic and physical records management Knowledge of document shredding procedures and equipment Ability to manage and maintain an office calendar, including scheduling appointments and meetings Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other office software Ability to work independently and as part of a team High school diploma or equivalent education level Prior experience in a similar role is preferable.
