Schedules patient appointments in Cadence (patient scheduling module in EPIC).

Answers phone calls from patients, physician's offices and other agencies and returns calls to same.

Makes phone calls to patients' families at request of physician/clinician to obtain additional information, provide feedback and/or change appointment date/time as needed.

Pulls charts for upcoming appointments and creates new charts for new patients as needed.

Obtains and enters all needed information for insurance or triage.

Educates and assists families with their individual insurance policies and procedures.

Files and faxes documents.

Adheres to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies.

Qualifications

High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.

Excellent phone skills.

Excellent customer service skills.

Excellent organizational skills.

Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

Bilingual (English/Spanish).

Licenses and Certifications Required:

Cadence certification required; new hires without Cadence certification must be eligible to attend internal training and obtain certification within 90 days of hire date.
