Description:TEKsystems' client is looking for analysts to work within the IT Vendor Management Office (VMO) which plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing the relationships with technology vendors. We are seeking an IT Vendor Management Specialist who will work closely with DTS (Digital Technology Services) senior leadership to ensure that our vendor partnerships align with our strategic goals, deliver value, and meet our rigorous standards.Responsibilities: Vendor Lifecycle Management: Coordinate and oversee competitive sourcing events, including RF(x) processes, to select vendors that align with the client's strategic goals and technology needs. Contract Management: Collaborate with DTS leadership, operations, legal, purchasing, and security teams to review and negotiate IT vendor agreements, ensuring that technical provisions, service levels, and commercial terms meet departmental objectives and comply with regulatory requirements. Performance Monitoring: Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and presentations to track vendor performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs). Escalate deviations as necessary. Strategic Collaboration: Facilitate communication between DTS leadership, Purchasing teams, and vendors to ensure a clear understanding of business and technical requirements. Provide guidance on optimizing vendor portfolios to support business goals. Risk Management: Conduct vendor risk assessments, value analysis, and performance management to support effective decision-making and strategic planning. Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for improvement. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, fostering collaboration and alignment of vendor management activities with organizational goals. Training & Development: Provide support and training to DTS leaders managing vendor accounts, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to manage vendor relationships effectively. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements within the VMO, establishing and enforcing governance frameworks to ensure operational excellence and enterprise value through strategic supplier management.
