Front Desk Associate
Overview
Pure Press Dry Cleaners is a trusted garment care business known for quality service professionalism and a strong customer first approach. We are seeking an organized reliable and personable Front Desk Associate who will serve as the face of the business. This role is responsible for greeting customers managing orders handling payments supporting the cleaning team with accurate information and ensuring smooth day to day operations at the counter.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Interaction
Welcome customers warmly upon entry and provide attentive service
Assist customers with dropping off and picking up garments while confirming order details and special instructions
Explain services turn around times pricing and any promotional offers
Handle questions concerns and customer feedback with professionalism
Order Processing
Accurately tag and log items into the computer system including garment types colors stains fabric notes and customer preferences
Review orders for completeness and accuracy before sending them to the cleaning team
Ensure proper labeling bundling and tracking to prevent missing or mixed up orders
Store Operations
Open and close the front desk following company procedures including counting the register securing cash and ensuring workspace readiness
Operate the POS system and process payments by cash card or mobile payment
Keep the front lobby counter shelves and customer waiting area clean neat and organized
Monitor inventory and notify management when supplies such as tags bags clips hangers or cleaning forms are low
Communication and Team Support
Serve as a key communication link between customers and the cleaning staff ensuring all special requests or concerns are clearly communicated
Update team members on rush orders stain issues repairs alterations or customer preferences
Assist coworkers during peak hours to maintain efficient workflow
Notify management of any operational issues or customer complaints
Quality Assurance
Review outgoing orders for accuracy and presentation before releasing them to customers
Check for missing garments unremoved stains broken buttons or packaging concerns and coordinate corrections with the cleaning team
Professional Conduct
Maintain consistent punctuality and reliability
Present yourself professionally and uphold the reputation of Pure Press Dry Cleaners
Follow all operational safety and quality standards
Safeguard customer belongings and respect confidentiality
Qualifications
Customer service experience required preferably in a retail hospitality or service based environment
Strong communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
Attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a busy environment
Basic computer skills and ability to learn POS systems quickly
Ability to stand for long periods lift up to 20 lbs and handle garments throughout the shift
Dependable honest and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Schedule
Must be available for weekdays weekends and peak business hours
Ability to work morning and evening shifts as needed
