We are seeking a skilled Lead Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various carpentry tasks and be able to work independently or as part of a team. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to follow blueprints and project specifications. As a Lead Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in the construction and renovation of residential and commercial properties.
Responsibilities
Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project specifications.
Perform drywall installation and finishing tasks.
Lay tiles for flooring or wall applications.
Install cabinets and countertops according to design specifications.
Work with various materials including concrete for forming structures.
Apply siding and stucco finishes as required by project plans.
Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Assist in heavy lifting tasks during construction projects.
Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure project completion on time.
Experience
Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role in construction or renovation projects.
Familiarity with maintenance person tasks including minor repairs and maintenance work.
Proficient in tile laying, drywall installation, siding application, concrete forming, cabinet installation, and stucco work.
Strong understanding of blueprint reading and building codes.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for various carpentry tasks.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
