Salary Range: $58,000 - $84,000Position SummaryThe R&D Engineer is a key link to product realization. The R&D Engineer transforms customer needs into final products and processes through engineering design and analysis, prototyping, testing, and production development.  ResponsibilitiesDesign new Quick Connectors and components Prepare engineering drawings and bills of materialConduct design reviews throughout the duration of the projectUnderstand customer requirements for fit, function and product compatibilityPerform, report, and present product/process validation testsCarry out engineering analysis for new and existing designs; including FEA, tolerance analysis, and stress analysisCalculate product performance and compatibilityAssist with analysis and resolution of customer quality issuesDefine product and process specifications with respect to quality, design and performanceCreate and maintain project documentation throughout its full durationProvide product/process benchmark dataInteract with departments throughout the company to ensure customer satisfaction; including marketing, sourcing, finance, sales, quality and productionProvide engineering support to production and quality departmentsAid in the development and evolution of department processes and standardsPropose suggestions for product and process improvements
