Description We are seeking a skilled Medical Biller/Collections Specialist to join our team in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry, based in Monroe, NJ. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As a Medical Biller/Collections Specialist, you will manage healthcare service billing and collections, maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, and communicate with patients regarding outstanding balances.Responsibilities: Oversee the timely submission of claims for healthcare services Ensure accurate postings of payments Handle all activities related to collections while adhering to payer policies and healthcare regulations Perform detailed reviews of accounts to identify and resolve unpaid claims, denials, or underpayments Establish communication with patients to discuss outstanding balances and setup payment plans when required Liaise with insurance companies to expedite claim resolutions and appeals Utilize billing software and systems for tracking, updating, and reconciling patient accounts Collaborate on Accounts Receivable (AR), Benefit Functions, Billing Functions, and Collections tasks.Requirements Minimum of one year experience in medical billing or collections Experience in benefit functions within a healthcare setting Knowledge of billing functions specific to a hospital or healthcare environment Demonstrated skills in collections, preferably in the medical field Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial information Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with patients and insurance companies Proficiency in using medical billing software and electronic health records High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certification or degree preferred.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
