Directs all aspects of ERP operations, including establishing policies and procedures for protecting security and privacy. Leads a team of IT managers, creates department budgets, and takes ownership of all significant department decisions and initiatives. Selects IT providers, negotiates contracts, and guides the design and implementation of critical software systems and programs.Roles and Responsibilities:
Drives the successful implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of Oracle ERP systems to support the organization's growth and operational excellence.
Oversees all aspects of the Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system within NJ Transit.
Develops and executes the strategic roadmap for Oracle ERP implementation and optimization that is aligned with the organization's objectives.
Provides leadership to the ERP team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management. Works closely with the project/program manager for ERP Cloud Implementation.
Collaborates with other departments to ensure seamless integration of Oracle ERP with other systems and applications, such as HRIS, Grant Accounting, Project/Resource Planning, and Supply Chain Management.
Ensures Oracle ERP systems comply with regulatory requirements, security standards, and industry best practices and align with the organization's network and security policies.
Drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and usability of Oracle ERP systems and related processes.
Manages relationships with Oracle and other third-party vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee service-level agreements.
Develops training programs and provide ongoing support to ensure users have the necessary skills and knowledge to maximize the benefits of Oracle ERP.
Identifies and mitigates risks related to Oracle ERP implementation, data security, system performance, and business continuity.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Programming, Software Development, Data Analytics or related field and eight (8) years of ERP systems related experience
Must have experience in Implementing Oracle Cloud ERP solution.
Must have experience with Oracle ERP Cloud or E-Business Suite (EBS) versions.
Must have experience with hiring, training, and developing ERP staff.
Must have experience with change management methodologies to drive user adoption of Oracle ERP systems.
Must have experience with managing relationships with Oracle and other ERP vendors.
Knowledge and Skills:
In-depth knowledge of Oracle ERP modules, including Financials, Supply Chain Management, Human Capital Management, Procurement, and others.
Proficiency in Oracle ERP implementation methodologies, such as Oracle Unified Method (OUM) or Oracle Application Implementation Methodology (AIM).
Demonstrated understanding of Oracle ERP architecture, data models, and integration capabilities.
Strong leadership skills to inspire and guide the ERP team toward achieving organizational goals.
Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
Demonstrated problem solving skills and strategic thinking necessary to develop long-term plans for Oracle ERP implementation and optimization that are aligned with business objectives.
Ability to analyze complex business processes and recommend ERP solutions to improve efficiency and drive growth.
Demonstrated understanding industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to ERP systems.
Ability to develop training programs and provide ongoing support to end-users.
Proficiency in addressing resistance to change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Knowledge of risk management principles to identify and mitigate Oracle ERP implementation and operation risks.
Knowledge of data security, privacy regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to ERP systems.
Ability to manger relationships with internal stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and end-users.
Strong analytical skills to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and propose practical solutions.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Oracle ERP systems.
Willingness to stay updated with the latest developments in Oracle ERP technologies and industry trends.
Ability to adapt to changes in technology, business requirements, and organizational priorities.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Certifications in Oracle is a plus
