Ramsey Golf and Country Club is a private golf club and residential development in northern Bergen County. We are seeking a talented and passionate Line Cook to join the culinary team at our brand-new, upscale American steakhouse, Rare Bird. The ideal candidate will be a culinary professional with a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality food. This position requires an individual who is a team player, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to contribute to the success of a new and exciting dining establishment.
Responsibilities:
-Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
-Set up and stock workstations with all necessary supplies.
-Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and presented with impeccable plating standards.
-Follow all sanitation procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
-Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
-Monitor food quality and presentation, making sure it meets the restaurant's high standards.
-Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing products properly.
-Adhere to all safety and health regulations.
-Communicate effectively with the front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for our members and guests.
Qualifications:
-1-3 years restaurant/line cook experience.
-Proven experience as a line cook in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant, preferably in a fine dining setting.
-Solid knowledge of various cooking techniques and a passion for culinary arts.
-Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
-Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
-Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
-Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
-Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
