Job Summary: As the Plant Engineer you will lead maintenance efforts across manufacturing and operational areas to ensure equipment reliability and peak performance. Reducing unplanned downtime, optimizing asset utilization, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your leadership will be key in fostering a proactive maintenance culture that supports safety, efficiency, and long-term operational success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Oversee daily plant engineering operations to maintain efficiency and productivity.
2. Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
3. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, PLC, and manage equipment issues.
4. Ensure implementation of Computer Maintenance System (CMMS) and of maintenance and improvement in accordance with the maintenance strategy.
5. Support capital projects, including equipment installation and upgrades.
6. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
7. Liaise with production and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues and reduce downtime of planned and unplanned downtime for optimal operation.
8. Analyze performance data and recommend improvements to optimize energy use and equipment performance maximizing equipment lifespan and reducing downtime.
9. Manage vendor relationships based on inventory and technical issues, and coordinate outside contractors when necessary.
10. Maintain documentation for equipment, scheduled work order management and labor allocation, equipment bill of material (BOM) via the management plus system, and engineering projects.
