Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are inviting applications for the role of an Accounts Payable Specialist in the IT Services industry. This role is based in Parsippany, New Jersey, and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. The selected candidate will be trained on-site for a day, and then continue working remotely. Responsibilities include: Accurately processing customer credit applications in a timely manner Maintaining and updating customer credit records Acting upon any discrepancies or issues identified during the auditing process Ensuring compliance with accrual accounting standards Addressing and resolving customer inquiries promptly Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary Utilizing accounting software systems effectively to perform accounting functions Assisting with account coding tasks as required Leveraging proficiency in Excel and SAP for various tasks Demonstrating a high level of organizational and detail-oriented skills in all tasks. Requirements Proficiency in Account Coding is essential Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems is required Ability to perform Accounting Functions accurately and efficiently Knowledge of Accrual Accounting is needed Experience in Auditing is a must Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
