OverviewOverview Our engineers are working to solve complex problems in clinical data processing, standardization, and integration. We are seeking a talented Senior Front End Engineer with expertise in JavaScript frameworks. You will lead a team of engineers to build out user interface frameworks across multiple portfolios/products by using the company user experience and design standards. You should leverage industry standards and JavaScript frameworks to build out scalable, data-driven user interfaces for web applications. You will have a chance to research new technologies if they are the best solution to a problem, but you will also be expected to learn and use existing solutions when it makes sense. To empower our developers, we will equip you with the best hardware and software available. ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with stakeholders across the organization to discuss the needs, design, and functionality of user interfaces for web applications Collaborate with designers, product managers and backend engineers to build user interfaces Provides technical leadership mentoring and guidance at all organizational levels and across multiple job functions. Has end-to-end responsibility for projects of increasing complexity that encompass more than their own development Unblocks themselves and others, including pushing through organizational barriers Develops adoption plans for new tools or features of already-adopted technologies Curious by nature and identifies opportunities for innovation Keeps current on cutting-edge technology and educates others on it Demonstrates knowledge of strategic thinking, design, and systems development Update and expand existing application code. Analyze engineering efforts to determine risks or sensitivities Adaptable to changing needs Detail Work (finishing end-to-end) Wiki documentation Research Activities Internal tooling and process (refinement and curation) Standardize front-end implementations across multiple teams, codebases and technologies QualificationsAdvanced level in multiple modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, etc.) Advanced level of JavaScript/HTML/CSS expertise Advanced level of web application architecture expertise Experience building large-scale web applications Experience leading engineering projects with little to no oversight, including identifying success criteria and metrics and validating decisions against those metrics Experience collaborating with engineers on the backend Experience collaborating with product and design to build polished consumer-facing products Willingness to learn new technologies and ideas.
