Focused on people management and team building
Responsible for setting yearly goal direction of the shift including individual and team oriented goals
Responsible for performing mid-year and year-end assessments as well as holding monthly one-on-ones and team staff meetings
Coordinate daily workload including prioritization of work and incidents
Experience supporting 24x7x365 high availability solutions in a large scale environment
Systems implementation:
Project planning, implementation and documentation
Manage Guardian OS, Network, and other major software release planning and implementation
Managing implementation of system hardware upgrades
Functions as the technical lead on larger projects.
Systems maintenance:
Implementing and maintaining procedures to collect performance metrics and produce system performance and capacity reports
Performs analyses (e.g., performs technical research to assess system performance and capacity)
Manage and maintain 24x7 uptime on the NonStop systems including client related connectivity, application and platform issues
System architecture:
Research products, solutions, technologies, and apply results to create presentations/documentation
Establish auditing standards and present evidence to the auditors (internal and external) for PCI, FFIEC, and SOC assessments
Works with business leaders to provide support, advice, and guidance on the correct application of a products/technology solutions
Applies technical expertise to support the deployment of technology architecture and the total system solution
Identifying system performance bottlenecks and recommending performance improvement solutions
Systems Security:
Perform Tier 3 Security functions such as build and support Nonstop security infrastructure
Referent platform SME
Provide mentoring and training to team
Expert Knowledge of Guardian OS, NonStop SQL and NonStop hardware platforms
Reviews, for accuracy, the technical content of proposals.
What you will need to have:
4 year degree in relevant field or 5+ years of related technical experience
5 to 10 years of experience on HP NonStop systems
Background in the following: Guardian (OS), Safeguard (Security), NonStop, SQL, OSS, NSX technology (X-Series), XP Storage
Security : Comforte, XYPRO security suites.
Replication : Gravic Shadowbase, Goldengate, DRnet
Tools: MQ, Control-M, IR – Prognosis, NCI – Control & Compare
