Find your future with us.Boeing Laser and Electro-Optical Systems (LEOS), in Albuquerque, NM , is looking for a highly skilled and adaptable Senior Test & Evaluation Engineer (Level 5) to provide Test Engineering support on a multi-disciplinary team supporting the development of both directed energy and electro-optical systems. This position supports of a variety of laser and electro-optical programs for Government, Industry and internal Boeing customers.Position Responsibilities:Leads others in the development of standard test methods and processes and applies advanced test technologies to create or improve test methods

Writes invention disclosures to protect Boeing Intellectual Property

Prepares R&D proposals and presents to internal management and external customer

Applies emerging industry technologies to develop test procedures

Reviews critical procedures to identify potential problems and resolve issues

Develops innovative metrology design techniques, processes, methods, or concepts

Oversees the integration of new design and manufacturing techniques into test hardware/system designs

Analyzes processes for potential improvements and recommends associated changes

Develops the standard policies for post-test activity

Resolves or oversees resolution of special test procedures

Works with the enterprise test and engineering group to standardize evaluation techniques

Formulates expectations for test data for new or unique tests

Trains and coaches others

Works under consultative direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

9+ years of experience with integration and test of large scale systems

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or other applicable field

Experience with integrating optical systems into platforms

Experience effectively communicating and collaborating on multi-discipline teams

Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
