Flying Star Cafe and Satellite Coffee is seeking an experienced maintenance tech.
DUTIES:
1. Performs a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs and services. Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned.
2. Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors.
3. Maintain inspection and preventive maintenance for various areas of the business as assigned, including all commercial kitchen equipment, such as mixers, sheeters, glazing, tilt skillets, ovens, etc.
4. Install light bulbs, doors, cabinets, paneling, Formica.
5. Paint interior and exterior walls and cabinets; assemble furniture.
6. Repair and relocate light fixtures.
7. Replace washers, faucets and seals on malfunctioning plumbing equipment, repair leaky faucets and clean clogged drains.
8. Complete grounds work as directed, which may include power washing concrete surfaces and dumpster areas, maintaining landscaping beds and other areas, along with sprinkler and drip line repair.
9. Maintain efficient function water filtration, which include RO systems and water softeners.
10. Responsible for responding to 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled. Carry cell phone as required for on-call maintenance.
11. Responsible for alerting the Facilities Supervisor and/or Brand Director of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that have taken place or that may occur.
12. Maintain a professional courteous manner and communication with all managers, employees, vendors, contractors, and co-workers.
13. Maintain all vehicles, equipment and tools in safe and clean working order. Responsible for following safe work procedures at all times.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum 2 years in a general building and equipment maintenance capacity.
Must be able to work weekends. Must own personal work truck/vehicle.
Familiarity with restaurant and/or commercial kitchen equipment is preferred.
