Cannabis Edibles Sales & Events Rep (1099 – Flexible Hours)
We’re a licensed cannabis edibles & manufactured products company looking for an independent, motivated sales and marketing representative to help grow our wholesale footprint and represent our brand across the state.
This is a 1099 independent contractor role with flexible hours and strong earning potential for the right person.
What You’ll Do:
- Wholesale sales (primary role)
- Prospect, pitch, and open new retail dispensary accounts (we are manufacturer-only).
- Maintain and grow accounts you bring on.
- Build strong relationships with buyers, budtenders, and management.
- Provide basic product education and support to retail staff.
- Deliveries: deliver orders to your accounts as needed.
- Ensure accurate, timely, professional order drop-offs and confirmations.
- Events & Marketing: work dispensary pop-ups, vendor days, cannabis events, and cannabis cups.
- Help with brand representation, samples (where allowed), education, and engagement.
- Optional: manufacturing support - opportunities to assist in order fulfillment and production for additional hours/compensation if interested.
Compensation:
- Details discussed during interview after initial vetting.
- Structure will include: commission / percentage of wholesale sales for accounts you set up and manage, and
- Hourly pay for: deliveries, dispensary pop-ups & vendor days, & cannabis events & cannabis cups.
- This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a portfolio of accounts and grow recurring commission income.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass a background check as required by state regulations.
- Reliable transportation (you will be traveling to dispensaries & events).
- Smartphone and/or computer for email, calls, and basic reporting.
- Professional, presentable, and reliable.
- Strong communication skills (email, phone, in-person).
- Comfortable working independently while coordinating with our team.
- Organized, responsive, and able to manage your own schedule.
- Previous cannabis or hemp industry sales/marketing experience is a big plus, but not required.
- Previous sales experience (any industry) is also highly valued.
- Must meet all state legal requirements to work in the cannabis industry (including minimum age).
Start Date:
- Target start date: on or around December 1
- Training and onboarding will begin after Thanksgiving
