Air Quality Technician – Carlsbad/Artesia, NM area
Trihydro, one of the top environmental and engineering consulting firms in the country, has an opening for an air quality technician in the Carlsbad/Artesia, New Mexico area. The air quality technician is a part of our Air and Process Services team and supports leak detection and repair (LDAR) monitoring programs and other regulatory compliance activities in an industrial setting. The role involves approximately 40-45 hours per week and requires at least 30% overnight travel, predominately outside of New Mexico.
What Air Quality Technicians Do
Our air quality technicians assist our clients in complying with environmental regulations by identifying equipment leaks for repair, thus helping reduce emissions.
Work Environment
This position consists primarily of field-based work and requires walking and standing for extended periods. Due to the outdoor nature of the role, work occurs in all weather conditions.

A basic mechanical aptitude
Experience within an industrial setting (preferred, not required)
Strong technical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Acceptable written and oral communication skills
An independent work ethic (can carry out tasks with minimal supervision)
An ability to work comfortably at heights
A clean driving record
Acceptable employment history with a demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
