Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing food items according to our recipes and standards, ensuring that each dish meets our quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is cooked and presented in an attractive and appetizing manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service.
Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Handle food prep tasks, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
Monitor and manage food portion sizes.
Perform other duties as assigned by the head chef or kitchen manager.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a restaurant environment.
Knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
