The New Mexican, the privately owned and independent newspaper with the largest printing facility in New Mexico, has a full-time opening for a Packaging/Mailroom Manager.
We produce printed products for a number of customers, including the New York Times and the Albuquerque Journal. It’s a busy work environment with opportunities for growth. Our printed products need to be bundled, sorted, passed off to delivery people or stored, every day. We run two shifts in this department as well. As the manager, you’ll see to it that all is running smoothly.
You will need some skills and a willingness to learn and work. Familiarity with the printing process and large machinery is helpful. We will train the right person for this manager position. You will become comfortable managing a staff of production workers. Spanish as a second language is helpful!
Our production facility is located on the southside of Santa Fe at 1 New Mexican Plaza. We operate various shifts 7 days a week. Some nights, some weekends, it’s a busy place. This position will generally be a Monday – Friday day shift opportunity, but flexibility and willingness to step in when needed is essential.
