Actalent Services is seeking an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer for a great company in the Albany area. This is a long term direct position with our client. Description:This engineer will be developing, reviewing, and releasing all the necessary manufacturing specifications, drawings, BOMs, processes, SOPs, equipment, workflows, and tools/fixtures to ensure high-quality production. This person will also lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, capacity, and cost in manufacturing. As a subject matter expert, this person will troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions. They will also collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure effective qualification, process capabilities, and material disposition. Clear documentation and effective communication across teams will be key to facilitating seamless collaboration. Working closely with the design team, this person will implement design for test and self-test on various robot PCB assemblies, which requires a deep understanding of circuits and systems. They will design and debug functional test fixtures for PCBAs, incorporating necessary stimulus, test circuitry, and test software, while also involving electromechanical design. Developing high-level computer-based test interfaces, control, and supervision, and deriving pass/fail criteria in conjunction with the design team will also be part of their role. Additionally, this person will design PCBA and system burn-in racks and procedures. Finally, they will apply statistical process control methodologies to ensure overall quality control of PCBAs and systems.Skills & Qualifications:

Hands on experience supporting design, assembly and testing of electro-mechanical systems, including mechanisms, actuators, PCBA's and sensors.

Experience transitioning products and processes from development to production, including NPI and PVT.

Familiarity with developing test requirements, test stand and equipment development.

Proficiency in Altium or Creo (preferred, not required).
