Live-In Maintenance Technician
DePaul Housing Management is looking for a Live-In Maintenance Technician for one of its senior housing apartment communities.
DePaul Housing Management is a mission based not for profit which has been developing and managing senior housing communities for more than 30 years. Under the direction of the Community Manager, the Live-In Maintenance Technician will respond to the emergency needs of the senior housing community consistent with the policies and mission of DePaul Housing Management.
Responsibilities:
Respond to all emergency call situations after hours and rotating weekends.
Promote and enforce building safety and policies.
Assist residents by responding to appropriate inquiries and requests.
Assist with building operations with Maintenance Manager.
All other duties assigned by Property Manager.
This position includes a 1BR apartment free of charge including electric.
Ten (10) hours per week of maintenance/janitorial work at minimum wage
Qualifications:
Strong communication skills
Experience in emergency situations
Exhibits sound judgement and swift decision making skills
Knowledge of building maintenance
Experience in light plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
