Job Description

Do you have a desire to help others while also saving the environment? The Junkluggers is a caring alternative to traditional junk removal with a commitment to enhance lives, the community, and the environment by donating & recycling unwanted items from residents and businesses and by supporting local charities.

Driver/Laborer/Lugger/Junk Removal Specialist

At first glance, this role might seem like it's just about removing items from a home or business. THIS IS NOT THAT. On any given day, you will be helping people in our community who are downsizing, dealing with the loss of a loved one, feeling overwhelmed to part with sentimental items they no longer need, and so much more.

To be a successful lugger, you will need to be ready to put a smile on our customers' faces by providing exceptional customer service. Demonstrate these abilities consistently and there will be an opportunity to advance into a driver or team lead role based on your hard work ethic, aptitude to pick up our software, and consistent attendance.

ABOUT YOU:

You are an energetic, well-organized, creative problem solver and goal-oriented team player who loves a challenging and fun environment (seriously, no day will ever be the same). You have a record of achievement. You are looking to work hard, own your paycheck, and gain hands-on business experience. You are excited to join a team that strives to WOW every customer with exceptional customer service. You are committed to reaching your full potential in a supportive learning environment.

ABOUT US:

Our days differ always. You’ll be loading items on and off the truck, making your way through the many towns in the region servicing customers, donating product, going to our recycling partners, also putting out yard signs and door hangers to help in our Marketing efforts. Developing a logistics plan on the fly with your partner and holding each other accountable so that you can share in the bonuses!

On site, there’s a colorful warehouse located in the center of town where you will sort items for recycling and donation or break out the hose and bucket and wash down our trucks to keep them shiny and clean. We have a stereo where you can take turns with your playlist to keep the vibe fun.

If there’s something we can use here to help how we operate, we clean it up and find a place/use for it. If there’s something that you’d like for your home, claim it! Celebrating wins is a big part of what we do here at the Junkluggers, so you can challenge your teammates to game of air hockey while the managers cook up quesadillas, Philly steaks, stir fry, or burgers on the flat top griddle on location.

The Junkluggers is involved with local charities, and there is an opportunity to help with their events and network all while doing good in our community. Are you going to school for Marketing, or have a knack for social media? There’s a big component of that which could be useful to the company and give you valuable experience in that area.
