72198BRAuto req ID:72198BRDepartment:31522 - VNAI Information Sys HC SOJob Description:The Clinical Informatics Specialist – Home Care (CISH) demonstrates a passion and enthusiasm for informatics and supporting the vision and strategic goals for the Home Care division of Kaleida Health including but not limited to Visiting Nursing Association of WNY (VNA), VNA Home Care Services (HCS), VNA Pharmacy, and VNA of Northwest PA (VNA NWPA). The CISH maintains an end-user centric focus when contributing to clinical information systems; design, analysis, testing, documentation, workflow development, implementation, and support activities to enhance technology adoption and efficiencies. The CISH promotes the use of evidence based clinical practice and workflow standardization across the home care entities. The CISH collaborates with IT and VNA operations in the development and revision of initiatives/ programs related to data collection, clinical content, workflow analysis, and interpretation to assist in optimizing patient outcomes, effectiveness, and efficiency. The CISH will assess and support clinicians for maximization, efficient, and effective use of their EHR and other clinical systems to facilitate the improvement of patient care, user satisfaction, clinical productivity, and quality outcomes. The CISH facilitates the creation of training materials, assuming role of content expert. The CISH understands and articulates the EHR "connections" and "links" to support business operations. The CISH will be the liaison between the business owner and IT teams for EHR enhancement requests and issue resolution. The CISH prepares and conducts staff onboarding training as well as on-going training as needed.Location:Home Care-Erie CountyRecruiter:Adrian MuddMinimum or Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in health care related field (Nursing or Physical Therapy) required. Registered Nurse or Physical Therapist License upon hire required. 1 year of experience in Cerner Millennium Solutions/Products, Clinical Informatics, Informatics Certifications or Credentialing, Systems Application Analyst, Eclipsys/Allscripts, Meaningful Use/MACRA/MIPS, Go Live Support/Clinical Implementation, and/or Change Management Process preferred. NYS Drivers License upon hire required. ANCC Nursing Informatics certification preferred.
