Neuffer's Deli & Laundromat in Bolton Landing is seeking cashiers and sandwich makers. We provide take-out food service only.
Cashiers must learn how to charge for all items made by the deli, manually enter charges for all other items sold in the store, bag items for customers, accurately run customer cards or give change, check ID for all tobacco, cigarette, and alcohol sales, and give quarters in exchange for dollars to Laundromat patrons.
Sandwich Makers must accurately write down customer orders, then accurately make the sandwich, wrap, salad, etc. Adherence to food safety standards is required! Must be able to safely handle knives. Dishwashing and cleaning the deli is done several times per day.
Any employee may also be asked to make and fill coffee containers, restock coolers and shelves, and clean the deli and laundromat.
Part time and full time positions available! Open everyday in the summer, hours reduce after Labor Day. Students who can work until mid to late August are accepted.
Start time: 10am or Noon
End time: 6pm or 8pm
Employee Requirements:
1. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
2. Integrity to be able to handle cash and keep track of any errors on the register so the manager can fix them.
3. Reliability! You must have reliable transportation to get to Bolton Landing on days you are scheduled to work.
4. Adherence to food safety standards.
5. Good customer service and ability to work with others.
Pay: $16-$18/hour based on experience, plus tips (Tip jar is at the register and split among all employees who worked that day at the end of the day). Employees who can work as a cashier and sandwich maker will earn more money.
