We're looking for an experienced and self-starting landscape gardener / horticulturalist that can also assist in day-to-day maintenance of a small farm & private residence year-round.
Above all, we're looking for a proactive individual who is always eager to learn and has high standards and attention to detail. Experience with gardening/horticulture/farming is a must, and any experience in other skilled trades is a bonus.
Responsibilities may include:
- Planning and scheduling the growing season
- Planting, transplanting, pruning, weeding, fertilizing, mowing
- Assist in landscape design, planting, ongoing irrigation & maintenance of non-farm areas
- Operating power tools and equipment
- General building & fence maintenance
- Light carpentry / construction / mechanical / plumbing jobs (depending on experience)
Other requirements:
- Driver's license and own transportation to/from Rhinebeck
